Division of power between parallel running Generators

When load increased on the two generators running in parallel, certainly there will be reduction in the speed of the two machines. This reduced speed will be sensed by their respective prime mover speed governor systems. These governor systems try to act in such a way to restore the speed of the alternator to normal synchronous speed. In this process the two generators share the increased load in the power system. The division of the load between the two generators is determined by the characteristics of their prime mover governing systems.
